Rev. Dr. Jay Regennitter

Jay Regennitter serves as senior pastor at First United Methodist Church.  His previous appointments have taken him throughout the Illinois Great Rivers Conference, having served in Coal City, Robinson, Bloomington-Normal, and Moline.  He has bachelor's and master's degrees in choral music education and organ performance from Western Illinois University, a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Christian Theological Seminary.  His academic interests include liturgy, hymnody, and sacramental theology, but he really considers himself a practical theologian.  A lover of campus ministry, faith formation in young disciples, and pastoral care, you can often find him on the floor with children, visiting hospitals and care facilities, and around campus.  Jay looks forward to meeting you over a cup of coffee, a meal, or a sweet treat!
