All Together We Can: Our Stewardship Program

In Joshua 1, God over and over commanded the children of Israel to "be strong and courageous." The literal translation of that phrase is to "be laminated together (strong) and move forward with vigor (courage)." When we join together with each other and with God, we are strong and when we determine to move forward with vigor we show courage. We believe that All Together We Can!

First we pray: The following prayers have been in the bulletin and Asburian in August, September and October. Those who have been in worship have heard many inspirational prayers. We encourage our church family to join in daily to pray for our church, our mission, our commitment.

"Prayer is where the action is."  John Wesley
"Pray with great faith -- when there is great faith, there are great results." Frank C. Laubach
"Pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks."  Philippians 4:6
"Prayer is the mightiest force in the world." Frank C. Laubach
"Grant that I may not pray alone with the mouth; help me that I may pray from the depths of my heart."  Martin Luther
"Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication."  Ephesians 6:18
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer."  Romans 12:12
"Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving."  Colossians 4:2
